Insomnia has a genetic component, but mostly it’s our lifestyle habits that can contribute to bouts of insomnia.


Research has shown that there are 3 chronotypes, which describe our genetic predisposition to when we are most likely to experience quality sleep. Our society tends to accomadate morning larks more often than the night owls, and this can sometimes be very challenging ofr people who feel like they are most productive in the evening time. It’s important to understand which chronotype you identify with most and try to structure your day to maximize your productivity.
